You meet fellow AULRO members in some strange ways

I had the pleasure of meeting Ricey this afternoon, albeit under unhappy circumstances. He just happened to be in a small car accident out the front of my house. He is fine, fortunately, he and a mate were coming home from a camping trip and they pulled up at the terrible intersection over the road from my place in the never ending road works site and whilst working out what was what his mate ran up the back of him and punctured his radiator amongst other things.

It was nice to meet you mate, its just unfortunate it had to be in these circumstances. Hope you and your mate got home ok, at least his fuel consumption would have been good on the tilt tray. Matt

Its weird cause i went down to see if they needed any tools or anything cause they were looking under his mates 80 series and then i saw the sticker on the rear window. Those stickers are handy

Thanks Ace & Happy Birthday - I just noticed the other thread. Yep, we got home Ok, good on you for coming over & offering help, it was a pleasure to meet you. Poor Rick was feeling pretty bad but had a good go at it being full on the throttle thinking I was clear. It just wasn't my weekend with a hard shunt up the rear & 'Teflon' overheating but we'll live.

The 80 series came off 2nd best but only got pics of mine.

With your overheating have you checked the top hose to see if its under pressure???? If its bulging its bad news,much what others said in your tech post.If it is drive with the radiator cap unscrewed slightly so the pressure can vent quicker.

the main damage was the bumper of the cruiser hitting your tyre carrier and using that as a leaver to bend the bar mounts.
