Why is it so hard to find a 110 Td5 ute with less than a 120k on the clock and fitted with air con, they are really rare, why is that? My dad wants to trade the courier for a 110, but we can't find a good one in Queensland anywhere. After having owned a 200Tdi and 3 other 300Tdi 110's in the past, he really wants a Td5 as it has a bit more go.

Cheers

You mean one like this...

Its a customer of ours in Spain... But Im trying to get to terms with some of your language!!! Im guessing a Ute is what we refer to as a Pickup?

For what its worth, a TD5 is definately the way to go (over a Tdi) and there arent that many of them over here in the UK either - Far more hard tops about.

If you fancy a job, buy a Hard top, unbolt the back body and put an older truck cab top on.

I cant believe they never offered the 110HT in OZ - why? They must be idiots - excellent utility vehicle.

Must admit though I love my 110TD5 Pickup/Ute - Most versatile 110 Ive owned. Plus over in the UK they are classed as a commercial so I can claim the tax back:).

Hendrick,

My father has a 2000 model 110 Td5 cab chassis that may be for sale in the near future. He's had it since new, I think it's done less than 130k and it is air conditioned. It has a alloy tray and bullbar, dual batteries and is in really good nic (pretty much just a daily driver). When it comes time to sell it I will post an add up on this forum.

......

I think you hit the nail on the head - Landrover Australia has shown little interest in the utility market since the introduction of the Discovery; all they are interested in is the "lifestyle" and luxury markets. The Defender market is treated as an enthusiast's market rather than a utility market, and it is only grudgingly that they allow any of them to be sold.
