Thundery and a bit of rain at the moment. Most of it is going to the west of us
Ipswich is going to cop it though (http://mirror.bom.gov.au/products/IDR663.shtml). Right on top of Amberley at the moment.

We got a couple of cracker storms the sarvo and they are still rumbling now, the worst one hit at about 3:15pm with some of the biggest hail stones i have ever seen, most were about the size of golf balls but the odd one was pushing the tennis ball mark:o

It has finished here as of 15min ago. We got some rain and lightning just south of the city. There were a couple of cracka thunder claps though that were loud enough and shook enough to set off the car alarms in the car park at college.

I drove thru some pretty heavy rain and saw a few decent lightning strikes.
God I love the Freebie in heavy rain, just drives on as if nothing has changed. TC light comes on once or twice :)

In the CBD it was quite light. The heaviest downpour came at about 6pm and we got 2 minutes of pea sized hail.
I think we've had a number of years of very few storms, but this year looks like being like the old days :)

we copped it...
the three phase dropped down to one phase only
I was down to lights in half the rooms and power on half the power points....
the rooms with power points didnt have lights... remind me to kick the sparkys ass who wired that up...
lost the garage and the stove which were all on the one phase...
we got 2 golf ball sized pieces of hail in the yard
plenty of wind.
power was down for a total of about 3 hours on 2 of the phases and then we lost everything for about 20 minutes before it all came back.
trees down, cars off road windows broken
