I've got the electronic start on the D3 and it works perfectly. ie you flick the key to start and the carputer turns the motor over, sets the fuel, etc for the best start. Works every time. Although I'm not sure about doing it in traffic:eek:

But notice how they only mention the manual, as it starts in the time you depress the clutch and select the gear. Somehow i cant see that being so easy to adopt to the australian auto's... Considering the quality of the electronic integration on the FL2's, an auto version would probably be very nice when released.

Good for a manual in crappy traffic tho.

Apparently the system doesn't work with an Auto box. It is however a goer with a DSG(ie VW system).

But then again the DSG isn't supposed to be any good offroad. I guess that is why the Tiguan has a conventional 6sp Auto.(not that a Tiguan is any good off road :wasntme: )
