I'll stick with a Pride, seeing how they now come out with the Puma engine.

Though I suppose that could make the 200/300Tdi a Constellation (Gemini) or the Td5 a Thunderhead (Storm)

But seeing how they are used on safari's I'll stick with a Pride.

Im presuming that 'an Exxon' refers to the exxon valdez and that a group of landrovers constitutes a massive oil spill?! :D

A group of pumas, which only occurs when they mate or a mother has kittens, is more properly called a clowder. You have a pride of lions, but they are genetically different to pumas, which are much closer to the household mog.

I voted Expedition, since that is what we always really want to do when we're out in 'em. Yeah, it's fanciful but ...

Then again, a rattle. That's what they actually do. Like that one. :D

I believe a gathering of defenders should be called a "Series"

I think I prefer, An ARMY of Defenders

I agree with Sketer - a Series of Defenders, but I'll also suggest another one - a Defiance of Defenders (defying the Jap owners, defying modern styling fashions, defying Discos, I am sure you can think of a few more reasons for the word).

But both are better than any on the list, so I have not voted.

I did suggest both Expedition and Series in the original posting.

A "Series" sounds like a group, but has deeper meaning for those in the know.

An "Expedition" conveys a purpose - and they are purposeful cars.

I would have had trouble choosing between the two, but probably would have gone for a Series due to the fact of it (the term) being void of pretension. But I chose Expedition from the current offering.

I'm with Dave on this one and vote Clutch. But only because the obvious choice was nowhere to be seen.

No-one has mentioned it

The correct term for a gathering of defenders is...............

Perhaps I'm not thinking of so many as an army, but but a troop of Defenders maybe.

Hi All;

I have an old number 5 trailer which has a few welded bits and is in registerable order, I also have a towing jaw that fits and converts a standard ball. Im thinking of selling the trailer and thought Id start here. Cheers Dave
Oh, I misspelled Defender, sorry.

Pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't a gathering of Defenders, meaning a group consisting of 3 or more in the same place, at the same time, be more correctly called:

A Miracle !!!

They are defenders after all they have to be a redoubt, which is a form of fixed defence or fortification. And which Defender do you know that hasn't had to be fixed, especially the Pumas?
