Despite the fact that the world is currently in a shade of red through my eyes, I'll do my best to maintain decorum.

My Canon has just taken a shower in juice.

I have removed the excess juice externally with a soft towel, however I am concerned liquid has entered the camera body.

If you are reading this thread, please put forward any suggestions to repair/prevent damage.

As for the person responsible, I am going to have their ****ING head :rocket::rocket::2up:

Take out the battery, don't turn it on, put it in front of a fan or a heater on low.

Let it dry for twice as long as you reckon will get it dry.

Good luck.

Simon

And if it was salt water, give it a good wash with fresh water after you take the battery out.

Thanks Simon. I was thinking of spraying the internals with some sort of proprietary electrical solvent based cleaner if anything exists?

I know my abduction by a superior non human race is nearing every day - honestly I can feel it.

It could only happen to you joel , juice is acidic so i would pull it apart as much as possible and rinse with clean water or as you said an electrical cleaner of some sort.

I know mate, the universe hates me doesn't it?:(

You've got me paranoid about the acidity thing, I've got CRC Contact cleaner up at Strathbogie - I'm honestly thinking of driving the 140 odd km at this hour to get it.

Might camp out at the nearest Dick Smiths:o.

Ideally yes.

As per the other thread - it's now in good hands at the Canon HQ in Clayton...:(
