Hello.

My cylinder heads are leaking so it's time for the workshop. My mechanic teased me with the idea of a SUPERCHARGER. Indicated 40% more power from the 4.6 (Bosh H.Comp)engine plus better fuel economy. With the multipoint BCR gas injection I think it will be the complete package! Bugger him, got me keen with these 2 options.
1. $7,000 bolted ON TOP
2. $4,000 bolted ON SIDE
BUT, 24hours later tells me he can't find any reasonable SUPERCHARGED Kits on the market.
Can anyone help, or provide other suggestions (re-stoke bigger / turbo?)
Thank-you

I am in the process of supercharging a RRC and I can tell you there is a bit to setting them up properly.
I'm not going into detail as may result in a heated thread:D

I have only herd of eaton on a 4.6 and don't work all that well for cost of set up. No intercooler, not vortech etc.

I cant see why a vortech set can't be put on and set up corectly.
Lots of cosiderations... Engineers, Insurance, Drive line etc:eek: Poor ol ZF auto.
Here is some reading for you. Not all relivant but to late to be botherd sorting it out;)

A crowd in the UK are doing supercharged conversions for TVRs with effectively the same engine. Might be worth seeing what they do for the install as it'll give some options at least i would have thought.
