I use to have a 3 inch lift on my Disco without the castor correction bushes. It use to get a vibration every now and then through the steering wheel and a noise which sounded like an exhaust knocking on something.I just went back to a 2 inch lift. But here is a pic of it with the 3 inch lift.

My 98 disco has approx 3" spring lift and no castor correction. The springs I used are relatively soft (tall free height). I normally keep the rear swaybar connected on road (the front sway bar is removed.
It drives ok on road, bit of body roll, but does not wander like may be expected with no castor, but I have tru-tracs and these may be preventing it from wandering.
No problems with drive shaft vibration.
Ride off road is terrific - I wouldn't go back to 2".

I have just finished fitting a 3" lift in my disco, it's not registered so havn't tested it on the highway, so far i havn't noticed anything wrong with it seems completly fine, had it up to 80kms and still handles without a prob:)
If you would like any info on the 3"dobinsin coils i got $340 a set including postage, just ask, they are great!!!!

At this stage the only things i'll need to alter are lower the rear breakline mount, and extend the bumpstops;)
