Hi
When i got my 110 05 defender i got an extra long range(long ranger) tank (130ltrs) with it.. it's currently fitted with the standard 70 ltrs (me thinks)
now.. with intermediate-ish mechanical skills how hard is it to replace? I have all the fittings..
or is it worth my while to get it done professionally.. and if so any ideas on how much it would be?

ps. based in brisbane
any use for the existing tank? ebay?

thanks in advance.

Hi, I found thisto be a mongrel of a job, mainly because the fuel lines are quite short and have to be undone in a confine space whilst keepimg them clean. Apart from that the job is straight forward - just run your fuel right down before starting.

I read a post here on the forum where someone cut a hole through the floor and put an access plate to get to the pump.

Erich.

I did the make a hole in the floor plate mod for one of the guys down at albury wodonga...

I might be able to be convinced into doing it again....

hell I might even be convinable into helping change the tanks over at the same time...

its DIY once you have the access hole.
