OK where do I get it....
I've just found out that when you put heated dieso through ordinary fuel hose it umm leaks like a sieve in very short order.
I cant find the stuff anywhere...
Does anyone know anyone anywhere (preferabley brisbaneish) that I can get this stuff from, preferabley before friday.
cheers.

What internal diameter? and what temp?
Other than NTP, which is a food/fuel grade hose (clear, webbed, rated to 150psi from memory) and available in a number of sizes, there is also "drum pump" and "chill-master". Although I've only seen those two in 1".
I'll get the books out at work tomorrow.

Have a look under the new Puma's - best description is it looks like plastic water pipe - it is definitely a different plastic line to the Td5.
Don't know where you'd buy it though What about someone like Enzed, a CAT distributor or one of the agricultural machinery suppliers.

Not usre how hot your going Dave, but the best fuel hose Ive come across (mostly marine apps) is the Yamaha fuel hose from a marine dealer. It sorta looks like silicone hose, no ribs, no rubber - lasts for ages in the sun etc etc... I think it will go okay with reasonable heat. Can get it in 8 or 10mm good stuff.

If you mean the hard plastic hose as used on diesel series vehicles, then a mate said he bought some from pirtek/enzed.

It's a pity you aren't closer Dave, I have several Disco Tdi wrecks you can have all the plastic fuel lines you want, even fitted for sediment bowl / filter connections aswell:(

Try Qld. Diesel Spares. They have all sorts of stuff for maintaining trucks, fuel hose, brake air hose, induction hose and fittings, etc. Nearest one to you is 29 Flint St. Ipswich, 'phone 3281-5550. Where shall I send the invoice for my consultancy fee?

I'll take it off the account when you get me to do your wheel bearings, or your swivs, or your propshafts, or the rewire, or the tcase, or the dash works or the brakes....

I did try it... i cut a section of fuel hose outand spliced in the sample....

Dont want to think about doing the whole fuel system in the wrong stuff

if it was up to me, i'd stop looking for plastic fuel line.
my dad had a truck which caught fire [a british truck] and the plastic fuel hose melted, it burnt 40 acres of radio australia and destroyed the truck - and the load, even melted the gearbox off the gears inside it, burnt for three days -
ring mr enzed or pirtek and get real hose.

thats the plan but I dont want to go and spend $500 on proper hosing untill I have the system working just so.
Since all my hose routing has all the pipes going nowhere near exhausts Its not going to melt through in a hurry and even if it did its a diesel and thats a bitch to light

if you want to keep it "plastic" the plastic of choice would have to be teflon as it melts at about 200 degrees C.
this is for a WVO conversion right? are you going to keep a diesel tank and run the WVO fuel lines inside the radiator or heater hoses? or going for an independent pre-heater?
lots of options about...

Ive got the exhuast routed near the bottom of the tank and shrouded so it deals with the initial preheat and then theres an independant pre heater tank...
IVe got to get round to uploading the pics of the setup... everytime Ive takes some pics Ive always thought... no, I'll just fix this next bit and then I'll do the post.

Dave, Mercedes Benz trucks (most) use Plastic fuel hose, dip the end in some hot water and push on to barb, only way you will get them off is to heat them or cut, good stuff, M/B should stock it, Regards Frank.

Very customer friendly, Harvey Hose. When they started up, they were closer to the Rocklea pubs, next to Brown & Ugly's. If you paid cash and didn't need a docket they didn't charge sales tax.
