Wow:o - looks very original - Love the matching red seats too. I suppose with the conversion rate that's about $25K :eek2:

Very nice unit - and low mileage too.

BTW, were there many Series 1 fire engines in Aust?

The reason I ask is that I don't think I've ever seen one until last Monday night when I took an 'interesting' detour (4 3/4 hrs to do what would have taken 35mins via the Hwy) on my home from Tamworth. When coming back onto reasonable dirt roads I spotted a Series 1 fire engine parked beside an old hut (also a Series III hardtop nearby).

Unfortunately I didn't have time to get a photo or have a good look at it - after all it was about 10pm - but I know where it is and it hasn't moved for some time so I could go back sometime for a thorough inspection.

3 years pay for one Rudd's finest (me)
I wonder what they would give me for my cars if I painted them RED.

G'day All, I'm confused here, as both the ebay listings are of 2 different vehicles so it can't be a relisting!!! cheers Dennis:angel:

"PLEASE NOTE; THIS ITEM HAS HAD TO BE RE-LISTED DUE TO TOTAL TIME WASTER FROM NORWAY, ALL OVERSEAS BIDDERS MUST MAKE CONTACT BEFORE BIDDING DETAILING YOUR PAYMENT AND COLLECTION PLANS. IF NOT YOUR BID WILL BE REMOVED." quoted from the listing.

The things you see when you haven't got a $100,000 in your pocket!

Bugger! All I want is a fire engine to complete the collection :(

Apparantly an ebay non-payer from Norway submitted the winning bid and has ignored numerous massages from the seller - so it's up for sale again.

Two different vehicles - maybe the high price for the first one has brought them out of the woodwork.

Said in jest Ian. I think they're great! I love all old landies and the fire tenders are especially cool, but alas i'll never be able to afford one.

I would have one in my dream garage along with a Welder, Tickford Station Wagon, 107 Wagon, Early 80, an 86 an 88 a 109 ........

Then there's the S2s .......:D:D:D
