well i went up to tallarook today for a lookaround and was doing a bit of driving found a couple of bog holes to go through and that sort of stuff and i got stuck in 1 which resulted in about 2-3 inches of water come in to the drivers side floor after i got snatched out of that i noticed a couple of mins later the light came on and not knowing what that light was for i had a quick look in the owners manual and followed the instructions in that now that said to drive slowly for a little bit and if it doesnt go out stop and let it cool down, well the first didnt work so i stopped and after a while it was cool enough that i could hold my hand on the trans pan.

But the light hasnt gone out, i checked the oil level and that was ok it drives fine and isnt noisy, even after we stopped in broadford for another hour or so for lunch its still on, so now im in the hands of you landy guru's!!

thanks guys ;) :D

The sensor switch has got water in it.
They are about $65 from Graeme Cooper.
Its position is in the engine bay on the cooler pipe at the lower LH of the radiator , if it is the same as my RRC.

I had same problem with mine and as Slunnie said was build up dirt under the rubber cap on the connector.Cleaned and fixed all was good until towed van next time and came on whenever we hit a hill.Trans didn't feel over hot though so replace sensor no more problems.
