wayne from the forum asked me to posts these pics

It is photos of a drowned Defender that a mate took.
Apparently the guy was drinking heavily all day doing do-nuts and tearing up and down the beach. At 2am in the morning he finally drowned the defender and was so drunk he was almost incoherent.

This photo was taken at Waddy Point,. After a few dramas it was taken away on a tilt tray the next afternoon.

And looks like it's the SVX...a fool and his money are easily parted

That didn't last long.

I wonder if he wants to sell the Recaro's.

Back wheel is a standard boost rim, so not an SVX. Still its a Puma so its not that old. Let's hope whoever owned it doesn't buy another Land Rover - or any other vehicle for that matter - I've got no time for drunk drivers.

A Puma but not an SVX and the rear brake light is not an LED.

[QUOTE=Numpty's Missus;850986]The man doesn't deserve to own a Defender

true.....& as said one thing that i detest are irrisponsible drivers.I feel for the piece of pommy machinary....what a waste.

I have still got a couple of pics of a paj we came across on Moreton island a few years back, had rolled many times on the beach, lots of donuts, full of beer cans, keys still in the ignition, occupants weretaken away on careflight chopper....they didnt all survive:(

Some people will never learn.

Its hard to see what will be salvageable from it. All the electronics will be fried, the mechanicals might have a few salvageable bits, and only the alloy panels could be saved.

I believe they are steel on the new ones. It might not be salvageable.

The old man had a new series 3,in the late seventys, company car,had the 2.6 petrol engine. It spent a night & most of a day stuck in Elie ck on Fraser island. The sea went right over it twice:eek:

Anyway, two weeks later it was back on the road going fine.:)

We renamed it the yellow submarine.

I will have to dig out the pics.

When was the pic taken?? A vehicle like this went through the auctions in Brisbane about 2 weeks ago. A mate tells me there is a similar vehicle at a wrecker just south of Nambour.

A workmate went up there two weeks ago and apparently caught 5kg tailor off the beach at Waddy Point. Now I didn't know tailor got that big... maybe she mean pounds... but either way apparently there are some fish around at the moment. :)

They will no doubt be gone by the time I get there though :(

Its NOT an SVX, but is a Puma/TD4 diesel.

Standard alloy wheels & the rear tail lights are colored. SVX has clear versions for all tail lights.:)

This is one instance where I agree, that the Captain should sink with his 'ship'.
