We're thinking about taking the kids for a trip up to the parks, problem is our youngest is short for his size and is literally just a couple of cm's short for most of the rides, to save him isolation from his siblings as they play on the big stuff and he is left with the little kiddies, out of the big expensive ones, what is the best park to goto in terms of entertainment value and height restrictions

what age is your youngest

the only one i have been to recently is white water world, next to dream world

there is one maybe two rides over the back that catered for the shorter kids, had to ride with with another person. other than that there is one big central play area and the wave pool

my four year old was happy enough even though he was too short

value......take you own food and drinks and look for deals where adults get in for the price of kids

He's 5 and 3cm too short for the majority of the rides for Wet and wild (the one they want to attend)

We had exactly the same problem last year with our youngest at Wet N Wild.

In the end, Mrs B ended up sitting by the kiddies pool with her, while I took the other 2 on the rides.

Of the other 2 parks (Seaworld & Movieworld) there were no problems. The bigger rides at Movieworld scared her off, so no issue there, but there were heaps of the smaller stuff that she could go on.

They are fairly pedantic about the height thing, especially at WnW, so it pays to be prepared.

Hi,
I would have to agree with Mrs Numpty. We went to see world after the 60th birthday in Cooma. We all had a great time kids are 5, 9 and 16. There is a water park at sea world as well. The shows are great and rides are fun.

Enjoy.:):)

Sea World.

It's got rides suitable for small kids and a water play / ride area as already noted.

Get the tickets using your RAC membership before leaving home and get a 2 day pass, so you're not rushed, otherwise the kids will miss out on some of the shows (ski show, seal show, dolphin show......). For us it was better to spend 2 days at Sea World, than to rush one day through one and then another.

NRMA use to put out a multi-park pass. no idea if they still do but it was a hell of a lot cheaper. After having done the parks I don't think i'd ever bother again. It was one of the most boring and expensive holidays I can ever recall.

Try getting him some thick rubber heeled runners that should give him 1.5cm extra --then teach him to stand tall an extra 1cm then last of all poof his hair up a bit. There you go he's now tall enough for all the rides.

No Brainer - Lang Park :D

Probably Sea World, then Dreamworld, they have a lot of other stuff for the wee ones and smaller rides as well.

As FenianEel said, Seaworld or Dreamworld depending on what you want to do.

Seaworld is always a good day out just to see the shows, dolphin show is great and the ski show; also the polar bears and shark enclosure is good... can swim with the sharks if you so desire. Missus and I had a season pass for a couple years and would just nick in for a couple hours every now and again to see the polar bears or dolphins.

Dreamworld has a lot of varying entertainment with family pantomine shows, rides (a few dedicated just for kids), waterpark, tigers and other wildlife, and a kangaroo, koala style enclsure with other animals... they also offer a 2 for one deal if you want to head into there dedicated waterpark with some awesome rises (not sure on height restrictions in there though).

Maybe check out there websites and se if they list individual info on all the rides.

We had this issue last year with our youngest.
Went to movie world and wet n wild.
Youngest coudn't ride 99% of the place.
He did have a ball at the central play park though.
