Ok this one is probably for the discovery2 owners out there. Have an 03 model with factory DVD player. Am wishing to swap out the existing dvd player for an after market one however due to the roof stepping up cant find anything that fits. Has anyone managed to find one that fits neatly or do I have to persist with the factory fitted one that has a mind of its own.:no2: Other option of course is to do the head rest thing and just leave the factory one sitting there.

Id be interested in after market for just the DVD player part ( or would you need to change the whole thing...dunno). Had my D2 for 8 mths now ( geez time flies) and have never used it yet as $#*&^%$ dvd player doesnt work...nor had the time to get it looked at. But in case it needs to be replaced..can it??

Stevo you could replace the player, but need to make sure the monitor works properly. I have become an expert on fixing these rotten things. Let me take a look at it as I bet I can get it working no problem. Most common problem is wrong regional code put in or you have the monitor set to the wrong AV input. Montior problems are a bit different. In my case I probably will have to remove the whole thing and send it to Eurovox.

Hey mate,
Monitor seems fine...the actual player is the one that has a hissy, like it isnt playing the disc or something. Though more than happy for you to have a look at, if you fixed it would put big smiles on the kids faces and would owe you a beer or 2 :),
