picked one up yesterday, seems to leave the old N95 for dead. I am happy with it.

effectively That's what I was told , although it seems to be in same league as HTC touch Diamond, what are the features like ? ease of use ? what's your first impression of the phone ?

My wife also looked at that. She says the write up on CNet wasn't as good as the LG Renoir. She's looking at the Renoir.

I logged onto GSM arena had a look at the comparrison with respect to design , performance and features between LG Renoir and Samsung Omnia are pretty much line ball with one another:eek:

I felt that the HTC touch was a little plasticy when i compared it to the omnia. I didnt look at the renouir. The omnia has a windows mobile OS that isnt ideal but beats symbian hands down. I couldnt live without bluetooth so the iphone didnt get a look. I have had windows mobile on PDA's before but it still took a little bit of exploring to find my way round the omnia. After two days though i love it.
Like all gadgets its great now but will be old hat in six months. At least it lets me keep on top of email. I killed the slide and the battery on the N95 in just over 12 months. The symbian OS was having constant crashes and freezes as well, even after software upgrades. I have a lot more confidence in the omnia.

Is that a data exchange bluetooth application, or just the accessory hands free type? :(

I've had the HTC Touch Diamond for a while and don't really rate it - too slow, screen response is dreadful and i really miss having a proper keypad.
Sony Xperia X1 is definitely on my shopping list for the very near future methinks.. :)
