Seeing I've had my D1 for a few weeks now this is an embarrassing question to have to ask - but here goes..

Whats the easiest way to get the spare wheel off when its got the genuine lock on it and you don't have a key? (never got one with the car)

When I got first picked it up I did check that the jack worked and that the wheel brace was in the car and fitted the wheel nuts, but never checked that the spare had air in it until today. The spare has a vinyl cover and I hadn't taken it off far enough to see the lock :(

Having just embarrassed myself admitting I hadn't checked the spare, I've got it off now.
Thinking about it, its probably best if I don't say publicly how I did it. Don't want to be the cause of anyone's spare getting stolen.

Most decent sources of locking wheel nuts will provide a key code so you can replace the socket in the event of a loss...I keep the key code in the log book with all other docs and important info.

I had to take four locking wheel nuts off from a series vehicle few years ago....it's surprising easy if you have the right tools.

I am in the same position - genuine lock but no key. Any advice appreciated!

Its pretty flimsy so i reckon another small key or screwdriver should do it, they arent like wheel nut locks just a metal cap with a key hole over a hollow steel nut.
