Doesn't this belong in the markets?:p
Single filter is still messy, as its still (blackboard voice) "upside down, upside down":D

UncleHo told me you were a fitter-machinist. Why don't you make them. You can use my lathe if you have not got one.

And the problem with half a litre of black goop dribbled all over the engine, the front propshaft and finally ending up on your driveway is what exactly? :p

These dimensions are accurate, but don't scale off the drawing.
If you're running a turbo you will have to machine a flat on the top spacer (can be seen in pic), then drill and tap it to accept the oil feed line for the turbo.

The missing dimension on the bottom drawing in the previous post is 40mm.
You also need to get longer bolts when you fit the spacers. I made my spacers at 50mm thick (should've been 60mm, but I was guessing)
I used the following............If you make your spacers to 60mm add 10mm to the following lengths..........
10mm x 1.25 threaded H/T rod --- 1 @ 203mm (+10) 1 @ 175mm (+10) Nyloc and washer for each. I used Loctite retaining compound to hold these rods in the block.
10mm x 1.25 H/T bolts --- 2 @ 80mm (+10) (I couldn't get 80mm so I cut 100mm bolts down)
8mm x 1.25 H/T bolts --- 2 @ 100mm (+10)

Yeah, wouldn't mind one........but then there's lots of things I wouldn't mind :p
I have a mate just around the corner with a small mill at home. He did the milling for me.

I don't know much about the Land Rover version - my 4BD1-T is out of an Isuzu truck.
The truck arrangement has a bypass filter and that is the best reason to change IMHO.
An alternative to the spacer is to make a pair of blanking plate to go where the filters mount on the crankcase and on the stock Isuzu filter housing. Drill and tap the plates for hose fittings (1 pressure line and 1 drain line from the bypass filter) and remote mount the filters in a convenient location.
Or separate remote heads could be used instead of sourcing the Isuzu unit. One for a Z9 full flow and one for a small micron bypass filter. This is what I have but with a centrifugal bypass filter (similar to TD5 but cleanable re-use cartridge.
