welcome to the camera corner competition:)

Anyone can join in this competition and although labeled a competition there is no prize to be won! The idea being that everyone and anyone can join in you dont have to be a proffesional or have fancy equipment....you just need a digital camera, a keen eye, be able to interprate the set topic, imagination and enthusiasm to get out and use your camera.

The Competition is fortnightly and will go from Sun to Sun......the first week is dedicated to uploading your photo. each person entering may only upload 1 photo if anymore than 1 has been entered your first will be taken and your others will be deleted so think carefully about the one you want to submit.
When the first week is over the thread will be locked and a new thread started where you can place your vote by posting the name of the member of which the picture you like the most. The voting will be open until Thursday evening and then the winner will be announced. the winner then has Fri to Sun to come up with the new topic and any rules for the next competition. The idea being that we dont do subjects such as weddings or sport but topics, statements or descriptions that sort of thing....the sort of thing that can be left open to interpritation and imagination.

So thie comp starts tonight Sun 30th and effectively finishes on Sun 14th

The statement for tonight is:

"It occurs more than once"

(I thought I would start with an easy one)

Rules
Picture must be owned by you
Can be an old photo or a recent one
No frames
post processing allowed. Please feel free to discuss the photo's that are submitted BUT DO NOT Quote using the picture.....we dont want to see 5 of the same picture just because people have quoted and not taken out the picture link
please upload your photo here. Happy snapping

any issues dont hessitate to contact me.

I'm still trying to work out what Phil and Lou's pics are of.

I think we need captions.

dullbird
30th November 2008, 07:44 PM
phils is water droplets......shouldn't need captions if you look at both pics they both have something that occurs more than once! as long as the picture interprates the caption/ topic/ statement that should be all that is needed, although if people want to put captions thats fine by me :)

just i'm not sure how you would caption something that you may of taken that was abstract, thats why i never made it a rule

A few cool entries so far. Thats a cool 3rd pic. I guess its a plane lights? Did that need much editing r was it just 1 shot? Hmmm I'm still pondering what to take.

1 shot taken on bulb.....although a little touch up post process just to darken the sky up a tad as the lights below gave off a redish haze..not pretty.

If you took the center of this photo and put it in a panoramic frame this would be an excellent wall picture..well done

yes that is very nice pic roger! for me this is what this title is about the reoccurance of pattern etc just like you have given us and so has mallefowl with the repeated patterns in both your bridges, well done

although it doesn't mean that that is how everyone else interprates the topic....possibly just me :)
