Took my radiator for a reco and have been informed it is not serviceable. They quoted $1000 for a 5 core and $600 for a 4 core. Is this reasonable?

Or does a series 3, 3 core radiator fit/suitable for my 2a which is only $400 from Landrover plus?

Series 3 radiator will work. You may need to change hoses though.

That sounds a bit steep. Dad just had to replace the whole radiator in our 80series cruiser and they are $580 for a quality australian made replacement.

It's only a series rover with an old school copper radiator after all... I'd say go with the SIII one

yep series III will bolt straight in but you may (as previously mentioned) need to change the hosing

G'day All, Just make sure you don't buy a late model S3 diesel radiator, as the bottom hose outlet is the same size as the the water pump outlet, very difficult these days to get a std hose to fit cheers Dennis:angel:

Cheers for the help, ended up getting the original one rebuilt with a new core.
