G’day,
I have a 05 V6 and love it.
The is a strange problem with the cruise control. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t for no apparent reason. When it isn’t operating i turn the car off and start it again and it works fine.
Has anyone else had this problem?

There's been a few steering wheel switch sets replaced for this problem but it would need to be diagnosed properly as the spiral cassette could also be the culprit.

Check & see if you can get the cruise control to cut out by turning the steering wheel. If so, it may be the spiral cassette.

I had the same problem with my 05 V6. Had the 'clock spring' assembly behind the steering wheel replaced and has been fine ever since.

Yes! exact same problem about 2 years ago ( same year 2005 manufacture), dealer replaced rocker switch, never a problem again.
Hope yours is that simple.

The problem ("clock spring") extended through to MY06 models. I have not heard of the problem on later models.

I had the same probem about 2 years ago. Replaced switch assembly and now works fine. Noticed that Cruise Control turned off and would not start again if you pressed the Decelerate button quickly. Would reset after restarting the car. Dealer knew it was a known problem, so it was an easy fix. Hope this helps.

Take it to the dealer and say "Rotary Coupler Issue"

They will fix quick as it also affects the drivers airbag.

It has been known for long time but LR finally admitted where the problem was.
