i need a replacement windscreen for my 79 4door classic, i can get my hands on a 2door screen as i know someone who is breaking one. are these screens interchangable??

any info would be greatly recieved

if it helps mate, '86 onwards parts book lists screens as the same for both 2 and 4 doors but does have a different part number for the seals.
if you end up buying new beware the tinted band if you are tall like me, at night on steep tracks the tinting interferes with forward vision.

Most only stock Disco screens now with entirely superfluous black masking paint around the outside. AFAIK they are all the same 2 door , 4door, Disco 1.
I have one with paint and tint and band , but you can lower the seat.

I had a new 1 fitted 2 years ago without the masking, and 79 4dr ? not even the poms had 4drs till 81 apart from the swiss conversion.

wasn`t aware that D1 screens were the same, but then i`ve not been into these things to long, thanks all the same for the info. 79 4dr? maybe i`ve got my wires crossed somewhere so will double check. as a pom myself i wouldn`t have had a clue about 2dr 4dr or swiss conversions at that time as i wasn`t old enough;)
