button falling off keys

over the last 2 weeks both my keys buttons hve just dissapeared and makes it bloody hard to open and lock the car, anyone elses do this what can i do can it be fixed?

Can only help if details are provided.

If..If it is a Disco 2 & for that matter a Disco 1. take the key/plip apart & inspect the buttons. Have they dettached from the circuit board (common on the D2) & a relative easy fix if handy with a soldering iron.
If a disco 1, sometimes the nipple on the button (yellow bit) comes away from the main part...if handy & delicate you are...u can re-glue the nipple togethor....but be careful if superglue goes elsewhere the plip is naft.

d2 v8 standard alarm system, key buttons intact but rubber buttons faded away leaving me havng to push through the hole with a pen every time

You just need the casing. Cant just buy a casing but i may have one in my tool box.

I had the same problem and ended up replacing rubber button with a blanking grommet.
Caught the other key before it was too far gone and smeared a layer of Pro seal over key button, this then sets like rubber.

I have the same problem and I am trying to get my hands on 2 key bodies. The circuitry is fine just the body's. Does anyone sell replacements?
