Nanocom info required for 2 inch lift with SLS

G'day All,

I had a quick look to see if I could find the thread....but what I am after is either information...or steps....that would be required to reset my D2 after a lift has been done on it. A mate of mine ( Psimpson on here) has a Nanocom and together with a few of us are going to do my 2 inch lift. Someone had done it with a mate and was going to let me know what the go was with what was required to reset or do what was required to make it a OK. Does anyone know....and am I making sense?? Hi,

You dont really need to reset / calibrate anything, just make a small bracket that is 2" 's high and then fit that to the radius arm where the height sensor attaches, and then the other end re-connect the height sensor 2" 's higher up to it, that way the car knows no different and you wont have to mess with any settings.

Just make sure both brackets (1 each side) are identical in size. Should not take long at all to make them up :)

2" arm extensions will lift it way more than 2" the relationship is NOT direct

Ok, So maybe using the 2" measurement was a little "vague". No need to shout ;)

It should still be simple to do, plug in nanocom and read what the current height settings are.
Then go ahead and and fit the lift spacers or springs or whatever your using.

Support the body / chassis of the car on stands so it cannot drop, plug the nanocom back in,

once again read the values, then move the sensor arm till it reads the same figures as before the lift, then simply measure the distance between the centre of the sensor arm hole to the radius arm mountings, and make your brackets to fit that.

I would think that they are not far off 2" when the brackets are made up

The sensor spaces are aprox 25 to 30mm long, no need to worry they come with the kit

Yes fits a treat and as Toombie says they are not 50mm more like 25-30.

You do not need and computer hookup the arm extensions raise the bags a bit.

The instructions are very detailed and straight forward.

I fitted 2" spacers to mine & changed the airbags & shocks (+1") @ the same time.Also fitted HD springs & +1" shocks to the front to level it out.
Plugged in the Nanocom to set the height of the airbags & all is good.
If it helps, the distance on the rear from my centre caps to the top of the arch is 20.5" @ standard ride height...

Has anyone had experience of having a Nanocom plugged in full time & dash mounted, I used my mates for the above job but am buying one soon....
