Well i have had my SVX for the best part of two months now and so far i have been really happy with it in terms of comfort and every day drivability.
There were a couple of things which kept annoying me however.....i tried really hard to like the front grill but it just kept looking too cartoon like so i made a few changes.

I reckon that looks great - I didn't like the "standard" look of the SVX grill (or mags) in any way at all - in fact, I thought it was awful - but yours looks hot now - just add some black checker plate and a set of black steel rims shod with Mickey Thompson MTZ's and it will be smokin'.

True, but up this part of Australia it would be like driving around in a cast iron camp oven buried in hot coals.

Whilst I agree about the front end I think you should have finished it in matt black.

What I want is those silver Land Rover badges front and rear for AG110:cool:

I think the dark front looks good too.

Scotsmun,
You’re a brave man, I like but. I know exactly what your saying about the grill. I having a hell of time trying to find the right bulbar to suit that grill on mine. A mongrel is looking to be the go at the moment, a bit of this and bit of that sort of thing. The mags defiantly look the business. Well done. ;)

Oh, yes, sorry I misunderstood. Actually we have a number of black vehicles in town - owners think they are great looking, but I haven't met one who doesn't say they get REALLY hot.

Its also unfortunate for the SVX that black would appear to be THE colour of choice now days.

But where is the spare wheel
Yes I noticed that too and I can't even see where the wheel carrier was on the back door:confused: I assume the tyre is in the back. Doesn't leave much room unless the rear seats have been taken out too.

scotsmun

Thanks for the comments guys, yes the wheel is in the back and the rear seats are 50% out . The plan is to get a second rear door set up standard with the wheel carrier, in the event of long trips just swap the door over. I like the boxy look of the defender at the back with no wheel, some like it some don't.
I must say the one thing that i do dislike about the SVX is the sunroof......it's a real pain, on a sunny day it lets way too much sun inside, i will look to either tint it out or have a screen made up. If i was ordering a stock one there is no way i would consider a sunroof.

That's OK - there's no way you'd get one! :D

That's odd. Most "normal" cars with sunroofs have a blind on the inside. I wonder why the SVX doesn't?

Now if you are still removing things...

I'd probably be prepared to swap the front seats in my Puma with the horrible Recaro ones in the SVX

The rims and tires are in the shed, i am holding on to them.........further down the track if i ever sell it it's always best to have the option of returning it back to stock.
I do wish they had released other colours, black would not have been my colour of choice........hey i could always re-spray it:D:D only joking guys.
I do like the recaro's........i have no choice they cost me plenty:D

I saw a set that looked exactly like the SVX ones on their 'open day' a couple of weeks ago.

If they're VIN specific, surely you can come up with a VIN ;).

Besides, have you priced the seats?
They alone are dearer than any complete car I've ever bought :(.

yer i have already thort of getting a Vin of one of the cars we had in, but then if i order a part on that vin, it stays there on record, an if the customer comes in an really dose need that part, LR will say "um we already have given you one of them before???" an it will look to dogy, an if we put it under warranty they will want that part back,

were is the rovacraft place, is there a shop up my way
