Is this a problem ?

should i be looking for something missing here ? this is on the front of the rear diff. saw it while i was fitting rear shocks. not noticed it before although cant really say i have spent much time under her before today.
cant see anything in rave that indicates anything should be on the end of that wire rope. looks rather important though.

where does it attach ? is those bolt holes under the front of the diff ?

had a few things rattle loose on those corros up north, 1 tail light fell out of the rear bar(possibly due to grounding out and cracking the plastic bar), and nearly lost a headlight, was only held in with 1 of the self tappers out of the 12 that originally hold it in. found it looking for a strange rattle from the front. lucky cos thats what the rattle was :)

just also noticed my rotoflex is a bid cracked, might need a new one o them too :/

I had to remove mine to fit the rear Maxi Drive Locker so we could fit the Guard for the locker acuator.

Strange that RAVE doesn't mention it though.......

Can you imagine that damage it would do to the underside of the vehicle bouncing around hanging from that wire...ouch

yeah, and thats pretty strong steel cable so wonder how long it was flogging around underneath, although theres no marks from it smashing anything, so might have got torn off in 1 hit.

I found one on the Mereenie Loop about 30 k's from King Canyon :eek: and no it wasn't mine :p

I was on a recce just to see how bad the corrugation was going to affect the van. I came across the massive lump and saw the rock that cleanly took it off the diff.

Earlier that morning I noticed a blue D1 camped so I stopped to pick it up and take it back to Kings Canyon just incase it was the one.

The D1 was gone so it was placed in the recycle bin.

It is most likely still there ;)
