I received a copy of the ABC NT Calendar for 2009 today and I have a picture in it. I get nothing for this but the warm glow of knowing I was selected.

This is the shot, Gove Sunset in all its glory:

It's still not as good as getting in the AULRO calendar though;)

The pano composition is very nice. You have controlled the light and aperture very good. Which grad filter you have used ?

Couldnt help noticing the color quantisation to the right of the sun (banding). Is that a sensor thing or just the file compression used to upload the photo? Or maybe it's just my monitor! lol

No its on the small JPEG. It's not noticeable on the original RAW image so I suspect its a compression/conversion issue as it appears on the first conversion to JPEG. Could also be to do with the removal of the fisheye distortion :confused:

I hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out, probably because it aligns with the sun flares.
