Hi Nat,

My Disco TD5 is 2000 model & keys are in perfect nick. BTW I found they are actually waterproof after having jumped off boat at ramp & found out I missed end of ramp!
When you say end has fallen off I assume you mean the molded part containing RF transmitter & battery.
If the transmitter is still functioning just reassemble on key & glue on with epoxy.
If transmitter is not functioning obtain replacement battery from Dick Smith or battery shop & fit it.
The red LED should light, and you should hear locks actuate when lock pressed. With new battery & no function, inspect circuit board closely for corrosion. If present clean off with white vinegar & then thoroughly rinse with demineralised water & dry. Inspect copper tracks & bridge with fine wire & solder if eaten away by corrosion.

Good Luck..B:D

It took him a while, but my brother rebuilt his keys.

Used a bike tyre inner tube and Tarzans Grip

The other place to look is on eBay and the like they pop up sometimes

Bit less expensive but still not cheap

Sorry, I didn't realise you meant button overlay.
As Jock says these can be repaired.
I repaired my Wife's Camry buttons using silicon overlays from old remote control. Some key cutters in shopping centres can also replace the switch overlays.

Cheers..B

Dont let the stealer rip you off. They will sell them for as low as $266.48 and then get someone with a nanocom to code it for you.
