Any thoughts on the new series?

I don't know if the stories aren't as good with the new show runner or whether Jodie Whittaker isn't a good Doctor. I think the latter.

Oh, I tried watching Rove's "Whovians" but gave up after a couple of episodes. It's rubbish.

FWIW, I've been watching Doctor Who since the early Sixties (plus the two Sixties movies with Peter Cushing as the Doctor - conveniently never included in the list of Doctors as it would stuff up the numbering. :D ).

Hi

I also don't think the new series is much good. Jodie Whittaker does not seem to click in this role. But mainly the plots and scripting seem to have been written by a committee. Just too complicated and unbelievable (yes unbelievable). I have always preferred William Hartnell.

I think she is really good myself. Overall enjoyed the series but I some of the stories weren’t as good.
