Hey guys iv been calling around getting prices on the rubber flares for my Discovery. Ones such as the Bush Ranger range with the metal wire in the outer edge to prevent them from sagging.
I was quoted between 170-190 for the 35mm width flares.
Does anybody know of a better price out there? i had a quick look on ebay but once i added up the postage and effort it was much the same

Hmmm, that wired edge is a good idea, but an absolute cow to get through once the flare is fitted.

Cheers mate!
I agree with you they do look cheap and not as good as others but they are a fair bit cheaper so i guess in some cases you do get what you pay for.

I've had these on a previous 4wd and they didn't do much in the looks department for me personally but they were effective. You were right about them being difficult fit the wire through. Then i had a brainstorm. I cut the wire square with a grinder instead of wire cutters, which burred the edge then i sprayed the wire with WD40. It then went through like corn flakes do with me after a night on the grog. Easy as.

Flexi Flares.... You can buy this stuff by the metre...but without the wire,2 types for side or bottom fitting , 2 widths 50mm or 75mm Cost me $68 to do all four corners, and yes,it does look like a handy man job, but they do the job if you'r looking for cheap

Sorry mate don't have any pics showing the flares. Got other worries at the moment... my replacement turbo came safely all the way from Nova Scotia to the local delivery post office and now appears to have been lost. :(

Ok
Guys ''Graham Rubber supplies'' in sydney are a great supplier of all sorts of rubber products ( except dolls you sicko's)
Just google them
This is the most common for guard cuts as it attaches into the side of the guard ,not via the lip. PS no wire in these you dont need it.

I'll second that!!
Mudhog is due alittle TLC due to cancer (of the rust type)
I have the 2inch body lift kit from Rovertym and I'm looking at fitting the Thomas PTO winch at the same time.
I have found a truck supplier with a rubber flare, I'll check it out this week. It looks very close to the one Justin has used.
Any chance of some more pic's of your truck Justin?
It looks too good for off roading:D
Cheers

Thanks for the nice comments guys, couldn't part with it yet as it is a hoot to own. The flares come in a 10m roll from memory and I have a couple of metres here if you need a little more.
