oh well lets hope tata do something about it....as they cant afford to let landrover flop, they were in enough debt taking it in the first place

That's exactly right. Wonder where Land Rover will end up next? They'll be running out of countries at this rate! :D :wasntme:

There are a couple of minor players in the motor manufacturing industry which are in big trounble and have similar track records.[Say Land Rover and DCs' Jeep].
If they were to do a major revamp in quality control, reliability, durability, good parts back up combined with competitive parts pricing and with their franchised dealers also locked in to quality repair work/competitive pricing then their fortunes would change overnight.
They would instantly be the popular/trendy brands in the market and the companies pofitability and long term future would be guarranteed.
But I'm not holding my breath. Consumer opinions and experiences don't seem to count for much in todays car world and they wonder why we withhold our cheque books.

There's probably one copying a LR right now anyway.
