I have 17s and the ultimately weak Goodyear Wranglers. I blew one the other day beyond repair and will probably replace the other 4 soon after. I'm looking at these tyres Yokohama / OUR TYRES / Geolandar A/T-S (http://yokohama.com.au/ourtyres/tyre.aspx'tyreid=204) The reviews I've seen look good but any other options?

Go Coopers ATR. They have awesome grip!

I just got a set of 17's shoes with Coopers ATR. Very happy with it. :D

After a bit of looking I put on some Bridgestone Dueler D694 (http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/treads/d694.aspx)s The reviews seem good so let's see how they go.

Yeah that was one of my choices, decide against only because the rubber was apparently not as tuff as the Coopers ATR and the Coopers had more Rubber.

But beside thats awesome tyre i'm sure. Let us know how it goes. I reckon since i got my AT, 4WDing has been even better, the FL2 just floats across the sand rather than digging in.

How are these holding up, are they noiser on-road than Wranglers? Also, what tyre size did you get?

Yeah they are really good for noise. Not much louder than the highway standards. To be honest you wouldn't even know.

I got a set of 17's which are on a seperate set of rims - in my case 4WD rims

What size rims do you have?

Mate, I am about to go the D694 way too - new 16 rims to replace the steelies.

Tell us, how do you like the tyres? My other choice are Cooper ATR, but D694s price is a little bit better... (and the black ones are locally made)

Cheers

I can't say much as I haven't had them that long (1500km). In torrential rain on tarmac they are extremely good, no wrenching of the wheel when hitting deep puddles at speed and no hint of aquaplaning. They bag out nice on the sand (18 PSI) no issue with getting bogged but didn't try to either. Had a tyre squashed between rock and rim with no ill effects. Tyres seem to be wearing well, but I haven't had them long.

They are called Revo in the US, read some reviews here Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo Tire Reviews & Ratings - Rate or Review a Tire (http://www.1010tires.com/tirereviews/Bridgestone_Dueler_AT_Revo_tire_reviews.html)

Are you still happy with the D694s Inside?

I'm getting 4 fitted to the FL2 this afternoon.

Yes still happy and wearing well, about 18 000km on them now. No cuts, chips or other issues. I just spent some time up at Agnes Water and they performed well on the sand tracks and tree roots that line the tracks. With the Crapanglers I learnt to be very careful around every slightly sharp rock, no need with the D694s.

Only problem is that as they wear they are getting noisier although it's nothing that the radio doesn't cover at normal listening volumes. Make sure you get the 108 loading as I think they make another in the same size but is not 108 "Extra Load".
