Was that US model? I don't recall ever seeing a Kalahari in Australia.

Welcome!

Now you're just stirring! :lol2:

You Cali lads are laughing! I read through a US forum (Pirate4x4) and am just stunned at the type of mods that you're allowed to make. Actually, envy is probably a better word. I think that there are a lot of SG fans in Australia, something that comes up enough, and the Kalahari was definately one of my inspirations when I got into the Discovery, but sadly despite it being as sexy as it is, it is very expensive to bring down to Australia. That black Kalahari used in their marketing is as good as it gets in my opinion, hell I'd even sell my granny for one. :lol2:

It'll be interesting to see if the new owners of SG continue with all of the Kalahari gear! Their business plans sound exciting and promising.

It was only a US specific model unfortunately. If I lived in the US, I would want one, they look really good in yellow!!!

The Black Kalahari in the picture was one kitted out by Safari Guard for the SEMA show.
After the event they took most of the sexy kit off and left them with a......... black SII Discovery.
Best bit about it was the Fox suspension set-up.

Still looked sexy though.....

* SAFARI GARD’s Discovery II Suspension increases lift four-inches above stock, provides five-inches of additional wheel travel in front and eight-inches in rear coupled with Fox hand-built, nitrogen charged shocks that are customized with eight-way adjustable reservoirs, providing a more comfortable ride, on- or off-road.
