D2 starter motor options

Looks like the starter mototr has carcked it

NRMA have been out, hot wired works OK + a few spark i the vicinty

A replacement is avalaible: $496 fitted

The problem is the book only goes up to 98 (mines a 99), however all the modles i the book, including the 4L R/Rover fit the same starter motor

Do you think they changed or would the D1 s/motor be the same as the D2?

I did what the NRMA man tried to do to tighten the main pwer nut, this is did and moved the housing a fraction of a turn - now everything is dandy

But for how long??
