Hi guys,

A mate of mine has one the first Pumas made. He has a "throttle" issue - engage clutch, foot off accelerator, the revs wind out to about 4000rpm, has to wait until the revs drop back down (takes a bit of time) and then put into gear and release clutch??!!

Anyone else had this occur. I have searched but to no avail???

Also - door seals have been in for wty, to be ree-glued and continue to fall off! In terms of actually hanging from the vehicle? Anyone?

Ta,

Mike

I've read - but not seen, that a blown brake light fuse can cause the engine to flare like that. Something to do with tricking the computer into crazy thinking.

As far as I know the door seals on the TD5 and PUMA fenders are the same and are a press fit, should not need glue. I would be asking the dealer for a new set of door seals to take it to a new dealer.

Don't know about the engine revs thing, but my driver's side door seal regularly sags down and needs to be pushed back up.

Never heard of the rev thing - but with door seals - they have two metal strips inside the rubber. Take them off the door - nip up with some pliers, and push them back on - then they don't fall off anymore.

...then they don't fall off anymore. ...for a while at least.

I can second the light thing, one of our operators bought a hyundai i30 that would not select gears or drive if one of the taillights is out. Pat
