Had an email from a now distant mate. Read... Do yo wan't my ol Rangie as I don't need it any more.... Me thinking it was trashed and a wrecker for spares said ok.
He has had it for a few years and used to drag a trailer to our farm with a quad on and go camping here in the hills. Was doing 12hr trips. He had a 4.6 lined up for it but just aquired a 2.8 Pootroll:eek: I'd say they be the worst one ever made:( He will be sorry:angel:
I found this when I got back from a short trip to Rutherglen Via Sydney with Disco Owner.

A bit good to cut up I think. . Has had a lot of work done on engine, electrics, drive line, etc. Not many good old 2 Doors left so I may save it:angel:

Cheers Tony

How much you want for the little girl? She'd look very pretty parked between my P38A and Suzuki Sierra :)

nope, I can still see some driveway left and a RRC would fill the gap nicely :D

I took the Zook 4WD'ing on the weekend up Mt Coree and around the Brindabellas west of Canberra. It was great but my bum still hurts from all the shaking of the SWB and lack of seat padding. There were a couple of spots at the MineShaft and the Bowl that I did once in the Zook but wasn't game to tempt fate by trying those steep rutted angles twice. I'm sure the P38A or your RRC would have no problems at all.

The P38A had to stay at home until I get a new EAS compressor seal to ensure the body stays above its 33" tyres. After drowning my last P38A I'm a bit shy of deep water crossings at this stage. I wouldn't have that fear in a 2 door RRC with a snorkel - no ECU's under the seats - yay!!

Don't do it again:( . P38s and water don't mix. They to nice to destroy that way.

I will have to think about the 2 Door;) As pulling my 89 of the road for some small mods:angel:

I do have a spare 82 model that needs the transfer box reasembling with a good body, engine air con etc if you want one to build up for 800ish

Tempting, thanks... but there is something about that mustard 2 door that appeals to me. Definately not the stripes on the side or the steering wheel that looks like it should grace a Mk2 Cortina :p The car has a poise about it that just looks good. Is your '82 a 2 door or 4 door, and does it have any rego?

Best wishes with the mods for your '89. If you decide to let the mustard 2 door go in the future, please keep me in mind.

As for my "new" P38A and water. It came from coastal Queensland so the underside is covered in surface rust. I'm keen to get it bathed in clean fresh water around Canberra to remove as much salt as possible... but first I'll get a snorkel and several tubes of silicon.

The 82 is very straight 2 door, No rego. Needs a good home before I get to it:D

The mustard one is nice. I like like it as well.:( If it goes I will let you know.

Thanks on wishes on my 89. Now I have the 90 on that trailer I have all I need to get it done other than spare time.

Will be watching you new p38 when in water:D I guess you will prove me wrong;)

Well had a play with the ol girl today and drives and runs real nice.
Seems like the wee 3.5 has had a cam put in it and CDs well set up.
Has 2" spring lift and bilstein shocks. Also has a new ARB winch bar.

I may swap some of the goodies into my 89 model.
