Any clues about how to release the engine bonnet for a Defender 2000 when the cable to the release has seperated or is no longer connected.

Hi P!!
Hows that 130 going and where are you now?

The bonnet can be opened from up under the front, with a looong screwdriver or rod of some sort, you should be able to flick the lever part of the catch where the cable is attached(Or no longer attached:o) and pop the bonnet. After you get it open, attach a piece of the wire cable and run it out through the grille in order to open it in the future.

Justin.

Thank you, Justin. We are now in Singleton NSW heading for Sydney, having been to Brisbane for Christmas. We now have a loop through our grill! Hope all is going well with you!
