Defender Snorkel On Wrong Side???

My day for questions I'm afraid :)

As I mentioned earlier, I've been looking around to purchase a defender, and I spotted this one. I was looking at it for a while, and couldn't figure out what looked out of place until I realised that the snorkel is on the left hand side!

Any defender I've ever seen has had either a snorkel or a blanking plate on the drivers side, yet this one has neither. The pic hasn't been mirrored since the number plate is the right way round. Is this something that is common? I have never seen it before.....

300/td5 on the right

Every County/Defender (including V8s), except for 200 Tdi, has the snorkel on the right,

And a nice looking Defender 200tdi at that ! my guess 1993, 200tdi ,300,000km , 3 owners .

I didn't realise that the 200tdi breathed from the left hand side - thanks for clearing that up. You guess correctly by the way! 1993, 200tdi, 245000 km on the clock and a tonne of accessories. Only thing is, I can get a 1994 300tdi with less mileage for the same price..... decisions decisions.....

Nice looking defender for its age, we have a 1994 300tdi that dosent look that good.

I had a look on carsales and from the amount of extras you get seems like a good price.

Theres alot of defenders forsale on there.

Anyway goodluck but this looks like its been looked after.
