G'day All,
Very happy chappy here. Got up early as Pete (PSimpson) was here at 7am...bundled kids into car and headed over to Justins ( Dranged). Let me say first and foremost a huge thank you for their expertise and efforts in putting sliders and doing the lift on my D2. They have done an excellent job and I am lucky to have good mates such as them :). Now onto Stevo's useless as tits on a bull tute....( Pete will most likely do a professional version later :D).
Ok...first thing you do...is if you have no mechanical apptitude...make sure you know people who do
Sliders went on first:

Nice work Steve.
Will look really good with the bigger tyres.
You will need to reverse the rear wheel carrier(ie fit it upside down) to make the tyre clear the rear bumper.
Make sure you post tyre pics ASAP:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Ended up being a great day.
The weather was a bit average but you get that in the Tweed Valley area sometimes. Thanks to Pete for the help as it is always good to have 2 people on jobs like this. Thanks to Kathryn for looking after the kids, although they were fantastic anyway. Thanks to Stevo for helping with lunch and taking care of those lonely beers. Must admit the hoist loved having the D2 on it rather than the Isuzu.
Regards Justin

Hi Stevo, looking darn good mate, you will love the Bighorns, I've done about 2000ks on mine and love them, they are a tad noisy on smooth tar but that's what you get with muddies:)

Justin Thanks mate, will be good to be off road again and catching up with friends around the old campfire again. Just have to do dual battery tomorrow and pretty set for most trips. Had to do emergency trip up to Pete's as we have confirmed...I should not be allowed to do stuff on my own :D....and sorted rear wheel carrier.
Thanks also for the other comments.....the wait was worth it. Still things to do...but am wrapped with how it is at the moment , as a mate said today...it looks "horn" and I agree :).

That looks brilliant, when SWMBO allows, a nice colour coded front Sahara bar would complete the job:BigThumb:

ps; love that colour:D Hey Baz...yeah as the bills roll in, Im getting the " how much???"...." I thought it was going to be "this" much" and " well I guess I best start looking to see what I want" ;). Have to go shake some tree's and earn some quid...then will start on round two. Love the Sahara bar...but umm and arrr over the extra protection on the deluxe bar....sahara leaves the lights vulnerable. Anyway will cross that bridge when it comes.
As for colour.. x 2....looks great all kitted out . I lost my permagrin when I sold my D3...I got a grin when I bought the D2....I now have a permagrin back again....:D
