yes heard about this a while ago but couldn't find any info on it at the time.....

Still why would you want that much power in a defender great for a bowler but not every day useage to dangerous in a house brick IMHO

Pete,

I have a customer with a JE modded RR classic. It has a 4.5 litre 'dakar' spec engine, monstrous brakes, a close ratio ZF 4HP22 and Eibach suspension. I was offered the vehicle before he sold it to his Father in law, but couldn't find the $$$ as I had just bought my 4.7 litre JDMW Sherwood.
JE have some fantastic approaches to performance enhancements, but their cosmetic additions are still a bit of a worry. That front double bumper, what WERE they dreaming about????

If I'm not mistaken 18" rims too. The double bumper would certainly knock the approach angle down.

Hmmm rapid response and Defender. Not words usually associated in that context.

What's the gearbox in it:confused:

Hi Colin And welcome to AULRO! I too would like to hear more about running gear... And I'm glad it was at the customers insistence that the double bumper went on.(, of course you could do as RollsRoyce do and refuse to sell them the vehicle like that:p)

G'day!
The 5-speed manual gearbox is a Tremec TKO although it could have the Tremec TR 6060 (rated at 810Nm) inevitably for extra cost. The first two were auto, ZF 6-speed using the 'box (suitably modified) that was developed for the non-FIA supercharged Bowler Nemesis (JE made all the Wildcat and the 4-litre normally aspirated FIA-restricted Nemesis engines)

Interestingly for you guys, the second "Zulu" was collected by the Aussie assistant of the owner. His opinion? "Geez, the Boss must have a 'roo loose in the top paddock!" We English gentlemen did not understand this phrase, of course!;)
