In XP there used to be a control panel icon for Direct X. Try looking in there under Vista (should be Start --> Control Panel), there should be an option to expand the standard view to see all icons.

The Direct X one used to provide a summary screen with your version in it (and info about files etc).

Good luck,

Mark

Click on the round windows symbol in the task bar and in where it says "start search" type dxdiag. Then click on "dxdiag.exe".

Ahh, RTFQ Tim!!

The only way I've been able to tell what version of DirectX 10.(?) I have is to use Nero's InfoTool. Apparently I have 10.0 Installed.

Cheers,

Tim

Hmm, well I'd try this.

Control Panel>Programs>Get Software Information>scroll down to the bottom to video adapters>click on DirectX

Really, with all of the experience installing and uninstalling you should know this stuff backwards and forwards.:p
