I woulda taken better pics, but the torch ran out of batteries, and the camera, and the phones, and I broke my favourite tape measure.
No shed, and the roller door on the carport is too low for the 110.
Still, space down the back for a good shed, and I'm not turning down level concrete that is on an arterial road.

:lol2: yep, the locals fall about from heat exhaustion if the temp reaches the dizzy heights of 29* in summer (which it rarely does)
Looks good Simon, and you can say hello to Ron when you are are on your commute. :D

There's an event in October and Bathurst is only an hour away.:whistling:
Seriously, the property looks magnificent. Spectacular outlook and a nice project to work on. Plenty of potential in this one.

Looks good Simon.
That green comes from something you'll soon get used to - drizzle, misty rain, mist, fog, rain, and misty rain, drizzle..... :D
I worked fulltime at Katoomba for about 8 months. The sun shone for part of most days. :p

Settlement is six weeks from yesterday. Have to pull all the carpets up and sand the floors before we move in.
What am I going to do? Commute to Central. My phd is at UTS, and although I could do most of my research and writing at home and over the web, I've learned that if you actually want a job at the end of it you have to do some hanging about. Moving to the mountains was the compromise of me getting to do the phd and Rilka getting a garden.
It's at the top of Lovel Street, south side.
Heating - I've got a gas central heating system in storage in my shed up at Mount Victoria, and two Bowin SLE's - remote control, thermostat, timer, lo-nox burner, etc. that I didn't sell on ebay last winter, so I think that part might be covered.
The irony is that, of the five days we've spent in the mountains looking at houses, none of them have been below 30 degrees.
Comes with a self contained granny flat, which unfortunately hogs all of the view.
Phew.

Thought exactly the same thing.
Up there yesterday and kids were in and out of the front fly screen door and made a hell of a racket.
So maybe we're still in the kingdom.

LOL.
I used to service a couple of shops there.
Near twenty years ago, 7:30 in the morning, middle of winter, sleeting, wind, I was on the back roof of the Supermarket with a Driza Bone, jumper, flanny shirt, T shirt and singlet trying to keep the chill out and girls are walking to the train dressed in a light blouses and skirts
Obviously I came from much further down the hill :D

A mate used to live at Blackheath and worked in Castlereagh Street. He reckons you should not go to sleep in the train in the way home in winter. He says spending the night on the platform at Lithgow waiting for the first train in the morning is not a good experience. Apparently ther carriage cleaners tip the drunks out at Lithgow and lock the carriages.

haha:D
A few mates from Penrith and Katoomba got caught out once or twice doing that too Brian.
We worked in town, and had a few watering holes near Wynard station, supposedly cause it was close to the station. They'd imbibe too much, then have to bolt in a drunken manner to the last train. Hopefully a country train as it had toliets.:) Unfortuntely for them, they'd pass out/fall asleep and spend a chilly night on the platform at Lithgow:D as you said!

mmm..... this happened to me except I ended up at Mt Victoria.... I was looking for somewhere to lay down and found a chair across from the cop shop. They came over and gave me a blanket and said they'd wake me before the train. lol.

He told me about Lithgow after I had been complaining about waking up a few times in the East Hills carriage sheds. He opined that this would have been a far more comfortable option being left in the carriage in a shed than freezing your whatnot off on the platform at Lithgow.

And we're finally in.
Or, we're finally out.
There is a lonely Defender axle sitting in the yard of the warehouse, and that's it. So much stuff crammed into the new house that it's spilling out into the garden.
Most of a week without hot water, but somehow the internets and phone were on before we moved in.
Important things first, after all.
