I have only ever owned a few cars before in my 20 odd years of driving, most of the time I have been on a motorcycle. I find the comradery between motorcyclists to be far more enjoyable than driving a car. It would not be uncommon to pull up next to another bike at the traffic lights and end up chatting until the lights turn green. I have in the past found driving cars to be a very unsociable and by the end of a trip somewhere my stress levels have been rather elevated.
In the latter part of 2008 I purchased a 2003 defender, my reason was for mainly work proposes as I needed a vehicle to tow large weights and I cant stand land cruiser tossers and their aggression. I have been pleasantly surprised that defender drivers seam to have the same ability to chat as motorcycle riders do on the road and the defender wave just puts a smile on face every time it happens to me:D. Hope to see more of you out there;

Yes I have found that it leaks when it rains, and the comfort level is about the same as a bike, but gee it is fun to drive :D
