Hi All
We are thinking of holidaying atCoffin Bay this March for about 20 days.
I am looking for some advice as to whether April is a better month to be there and if the king george whiting are still around then.
I have heard a bit about Streaky Bay being a better fishing area is this true.
What's with the Coffin Bay Caravan Park ? Is it Council run? Does anyone have a comment or two about it?
Your comments and advice will be greatly appreciated;):)

Cheers

Coffin Bay caravan park is privately run. clean, and owners are friendly. lots of people with boats when we were there.

However just back towards the highway there is a spot where you can bush camp on the beach (for free?). However no water or facilities.

I didn't fish when we were there, so can't comment on that. We have also stayed at Haslam (closer to streaky bay) - fished there once (from the beach) but no luck.

Thanks again for your comments especially about the caravan park.
I guess if people are prepared to tow there boats there it must be ok!
The blog from the park website says the fishing is good so for the time we are over there we will have an opportunity to shift if we wish. Iv'e got the Quintrex Dart on top of the camper and am rearing to go. If I do any good I'll let you all know. We have allowed 3 days to get over there 1700 km in the Estate Vehicle TD5 and I'm looking forward to the sand hills for a bit of fun when I'm there.

Thanx again
Brinsley;)

Hi, don't know about the King George Whiting but we caught a 10kg snapper there some years back - come to think of it quite a few years ago - yes we have the photos but it will take a while to find them.

Good luck, Erich.
