Not one to extoll the virtures of Tel$stra...having being on the end of their generally cr*p service etc (we have all been there??) I recently purchased the ZTE165e mobile phone as it was advertised as their "rural" phone and is "ruggeredised".
Having destroyed 3 phones over the past 2 years (which had all the newest "friut" } this seemed perfect.
Anyway the phone is great and the reception is brilliant. On my last trip, was with two other people who's phones continually failed to get reception while mine still did. The reception was outstanding.
The downside is that it resembles something I had in the late 90's including the pull-out aerial. It's a basic phone (has internet, and camera etc) but none of the touch screen, and candy stuff, and does what a phone is supposed to and well at that!!
Finally, something that lives up to the CDMA :)
