Clutch adjustment

Hi all

I have 2000 TD5 130 dual cab ute, I have owned it for just over 1 year and done 25,000 kms in the year, sense owning it, it has only had half clutch pedal, but it works OK, but like to have a full pedal, I don't have a workshop manual but wondering if you can ajust the clutch or pedal so I can have full pedal...
Last week we went to Manar Park just past Poston, went well full load of camping gear and trailer with two dirt bikes and gear, done some 4x4 had no troubles with the truck but when we got home I had trouble getting it into revese, had to double clutch it to go in (maybe hot from the trip home) havent had any trouble with it sense but still like to have full pedal...
All fluids OK oil in gear box to the right level, but going to change oil in box this week end as I don't know how long its been in there, but looks clean...

Any help will be welcome

Sounds a bit like a broken or worn clutch fork...

oh thanks for asking,, cos my 110 td5 is doing the same thing,, an its only got 77k on it,, i changed the master cylinder an it made it alot better,, but still hapends somtimes

The only adjustment is the shaft for the master cylinder ;)

There is no adjustment as such. If the clutch action is incorrect it is most likely a problem with the hydraulics. But it could be the clutch fork or incorrect installation of the master cylinder. There is a possibility that the nuts on the master cylinder pushrod have come loose - remove the cover on the top of the pedal box to check.

Thanks for thr replies, I will look at the master cylinder, the turck has only done 105,000 kms and has had the problem sense I'v own it, but the clutch works OK ...

Is the pedal at the correct height? I think TD5 has adjustment of pedal height, 140mm or something like that for Tdi300.

Maybe wrong length pushrod in slave cylinder?

Hi All

I don't know if the master cylinder has been replaced at some time, it has been raining here so haven't had the chance to look at it yet, I'm thinking it is in the master cylinder, when I get the chance to check it out I will let you all know as The clutch is working OK... many thanks to all of you for your replies and help
