OK, here goes...
My wife is stranded in BONBEACH Melbourne with a car that she has over-filled with oil. I am in Brisbane and she has just had the RACV out to tell her this (we already knew anyway) but they couldn't actually DO anything as it is not in their job description.
There is no-one else we know in Melbourne who can help her, the local garages are all closed for service and all the nearby hire car places are also closed so I can't even fix her up with a temp car until Monday.
Is there anyone nearby with tools who can spare an hour or so to help her? It should be simply a case of draining the oil and then putting some fresh stuff in.
She flew down last week to help a friend and business colleague who got taken to hospital in an emergency. She now finds herself driving the friend's dodgy Hyundai Excel which has many, many issues. Knowing that the car burns a lot of oil, she dutifully put a bunch in this morning. Unfortunately she could not read the dipstick and has totally overfilled it - smoke galore - but the car still runs OK.
Please PM me if you can help - sooner rather than later would be good as she still has a stack of work to do and I would like her back in Brisbane before too much longer.
