Hi Dave;
Just something I thought of , have you played with the idea of towing a big barrel of let's say 200 L or so and stopping at a few Fish and Chip shops along your travels to pickup and store the WVO, sort of like a very Long Range Tank :D
How is Fuzzy's Consumption on WVO , any idea?

you mean like the 160l tank thats in the tray hooked up to the heater system to dewater the oil? yep Ive thought of that.... but when I go from the switch to wagga and see a grand total of 3 shops, no service stations and 4 cars ITs hard to find wvo....
and yep, wvo is Waste Veggie Oil.
Range seems to be 1400k for 120-130l but I have to work out the speedo error (the speedo reads 4.8k for 5k over the ground) and I have to work out the exact amount of fuel I transfered from the 160 to the main tank...
I dont think (certainly dont expect it to be) its as good as the rough numbers make it look but I'll be happy if I break 8k/l

Golf clus are a pretty good sorce, most private or semi private have deep fryers and they have to change the oil on a very regular basis.
I know we have about 200ltrs constantly behind our kitchen but every time I have the time to go try it in the old fergie it's just been emptied :mad:
3 Chefs later and Im hoping I have this one trained as I left an old oil drum up there for him to fill before he puts it in the disposal drum.:D

i'll check what a mate who has a local business does with his WVO and what the quality is like after its left the deep fryers, i know it isnt too bad, only does chips and wedges, but what i'm unsure of is how thick/dirty it ends up once its left the fryer....
i have access to a few 60L drums through work, so i'll see what i can arrange

What about the poisoners at Amberley? Do they have deep fryers or do they chuck the waste oil in the stew?

they put it in recyc bins but they chuck it by quality assesment rather than a time so getting in place to get my hands on it is problematic. IVe asked the questions and yes providing Im not too greedy they're happy for me to have some so long as it doesnt interfere with the ditching process. Im trying it on for the frontline but they're sort of red taping me.

Cheers mate, I have rellies in the area and might be able to get them to hold it for me.
