I'm fitting checker plate to the sills of my 110 and the door tolerances are what you would expect from a Defender - to close:mad: - so I need to lift 3 of the 4 doors about 2-3mm.

I've loosened the hinges and inserted a wedge at the back of the door (the front has enough clearance) and retightened. But it keeps collapsing back again just enough to make it still not sufficient. There's enough slack in the striker/latch that I shouldn't need to loosen that.

What else can/should I do?
I've tried kind words of persuasion to no affect:angel:

Not enough airgap in a Defender door.

Try moving the door striker out a bit? Dunno what'd happen at the hinge end.

Not enough airgap in a Defender doors:eek:
I can get into my Defe trough the gap without open the door :D
I have the pair of checker plates to fit on but the panel on the sills is not even so I left it until I am motivated to do something about it.

All sorted and bling installed... yeah I know PICTURES!... they will be forthcoming when I put the cargo barrier in during the week.

Had to open door, loosen striker, loosen hinges, lift door (not too much or it touches roof rack clamps:mad:), tighten hniges, align striker, check, repeat until correct.:(
