I think apostrophes were long ago dropped from signs in Oz. I can't recall seeing one in many years.

I believe the apostrophe is an essential part of grammar but I suspect it will eventually disappear.

I agree , Bring back the 'apostrophe' , ,Comma, is way to 'overrated'.:p

The department store is even David Jones now instead of David Jones'! :( :(

It's a bit like the way people write "Anzac" as in (Anzac Pde) whereas it should be ANZAC, :mad: the illiterate are out-breeding the literate so alas we'll see more of it.

Perhaps the literate are reading too much instead of ... whatever the illiterate are doing? :angel:
